We have many locations one can snowshoe in the valley including Kane Valley (nordic area), Helmer Lake, Lundbom Lake, Hamilton Hill, Falls Lake and others. Kane Valley has trails designated specifically for snowshoeing only. Do not use xc ski trails when snowshoeing Kane Valley. That is a no no. Follow the signs and show respect for your fellow winter enthusiasts.
Kane Valley has 13 km of trails designated as snowshoeing trails. The Kane Valley snowshoeing trails are only 20 minutes south of Merritt, B.C., an hour west of Kelowna and an hour north of Princeton. The best winter access to the snowshoeing areas is along the Kane Valley Road which joins Highway 5A/97C near Corbett Lake, 18 kilometers south of Merritt.
