Swallowtail Lighthouse is located on the northern end of Grand Manan Island on a long peninsula in-between Sawpit Cove and Pettes Cove. The wooden 1860 Swallow Tail Lighthouse is recognized as a National Historic Building. A short hiking trail with 54 steps, a wooden bridge and then a gravel trail connect travelers to the attraction.

How To Get ToSwallowtail Lighthouse

From the Grand Manan Island Ferry Terminal (North Head) travel Highway 776 north which turns into Old Airport Road. Soon after take a right onto Lighthouse Road to the parking lot of the Swallow Tail Lighthouse. From the ferry it is 1.5 kilometres to the lighthouse.
