Ouimet Canyon Provincial Park is a sightseeing and picnicking destination, measuring 777 hectares, located west of the community of Nipigon, Ontario, Canada. The community is located in Northwest Ontario in what is called the North of Superior region.

A deep gorge canyon is the sightseeing attraction in the Ouimet Canyon Provincial Park. The canyon gorge measures over 3 kilometres (1.9 mi.) long, 152 metres wide (500 ft.) and 172 metres deep (362 ft.).

A 1 kilometre, mostly boardwalk pathway, follows the high cliffs of the canyon leading to a couple of lookout points with views of unique geological rock formations. Explaining the geology of the area are a few information and interpretive signs placed along the trail.

The canyon floor of the Ouimet Canyon Provincial Park is home to flora and fauna which otherwise could only be found closer to the Arctic. These rare Arctic plants include the likes of saxifrage, fir-club moss, arctic pyrola, lichens, sub-arctic thickets and ferns.

There are two larger lakes in the park - Gulch and Welburn Lakes. There is a day use area near Gulch Lake with provides picnic tables and pit toilets.

Ouimet Canyon Provincial Park was named after a historic railroad station which use to operate in the region. The railroad station was named after Joseph-Alfric Ouimet (Canadian Minister 1892-1896).

Drive : From the community of Nipigon, Ontario, Canada drive 54 km west on Highway # 11-17 and take a right on Ouimet Canyon Road near the Township of Dorion. The park entrance is ahead. From Thunder Bay, Ontario travel northeast and the park is about 82 kilometres away.
