Porritt Landing is a boat launch and day use picnic park located on Vale Island in the community of Hay River, Northwest Territories, Canada. The recreation park is situated on the banks of the west channel of Hay River.

The park is a popular boat launch for canoes, kayaks and recreational boats. It is easily accessible from the main road. There is a gravel parking lot and a long floating pier for tying up boats while you pack up before departing or for when unloading on the return trip back.

In Porritt Landing park is a large grass lawn area next to the parking lot. It is perched on a long, slow rolling hill. There are picnic tables and fire pits, but little shade.

How To Get ToPorritt Landing

:
Travel to the community of Hay River, N.W.T., Canada on the Waterfall Highway (Hwy #1). Continue through the downtown sector and cross the bridge onto Vale Island. Just pass the industrial area on your right will be the entrance sign to the park.
