Kookatsoon Lake Recreation Park in the Southern Lakes, Yukon Territories, Canada is a little gem of a day use park located at the 152 Kilometre Marker (94.5 Mi) on the South Klondike Highway (Hwy #2) - located north of the community of Carcross.

The park is situated on the shores of Kookatsoon Lake. It is a small park with a beautiful turquoise-green lake. A lake which is shallow and great for swimming and launching a canoe. The small sandy beach in the park provides quick access to the lake.

To the side of the beach is a sand box with a playground and a picnic area. In the picnic area there are picnic tables and fire pits. Many times firewood is provided. Nearby are the pit toilets and behind you is a large gravel parking lot.

The playground is protected by trees from the wind coming off the lake. There is a slide, merry go round and riding plastic horses. Better yet, the whole playground is one big sand box.

There is no camping in this park. It is strictly a day use picnic park. The gates close on a regular time schedule.
