Englishman River Falls Provincial Park is a hiking and waterfall park located near the community of Parksville, BC on Vancouver Island, Canada. The park highlights include the waterfall and the viewing cliff areas.

Englishman River Falls

The hiking trail leading to the falls follows along a dirt trail. The trail crosses the river in two areas leading to excellent viewpoints overlooking the upper and lower waterfalls. Most of the trail follows a high cliff bank in a canyon with the river below.

There are parts of the trail which involve stairs, bridges and boardwalk sections. Along the hiking trail are resting benches for the steep sections. Beware that the mist from the falls can sometimes make the trail slippery.

Much of the route explores through first and second growth forests including Douglas Fir, Cedar, Hemlock, Arbutus and Canadian Maple trees. The forest floor is littered with fallen timbers, ferns and branches covered with moss and lichens.

The Englishman River Falls Provincial Park is 97 hectares and includes a day-use area a picnic shelter and bathrooms. There is also a campground, a large parking area, picnic tables, flush toilets, fresh running water and an information centre.
