Fairmont Hot Springs is a year-round resort village situated, a short distance, south of the community of Invermere, BC, Canada in the Columbia Valley, Kootenay region of British Columbia, Canada.

Fairmont Hot Spring adventures and activities include the hot mineral pools, golfing, downhill skiing, snowboarding and xc skiing. The popular recreation resort includes the largest odourless hot spring pools in Canada!

The hot mineral pools rest at the headwaters of the Columbia River. Looming high above the hot springs are the cliffs and peaks of the Rocky and Purcell Mountains - home to glaciers, waterfalls, hoodoos, snowcapped peaks, crashing rivers and endless wilderness adventures.

Long ago, the hot springs were first used by the First Nation people as healing waters. The pools were once referred to as the ‘Land of Smoking Waters’. The First Nation people believed the waters could cure illness and body pains.

Fairmont Hot Springs enjoys amazing views as you soak in their hot pools. The Fairmont Range of the Rocky Mountains is easily viewed while soaking in the hot springs.

There are services important to travelers located at Fairmont Hot Springs. Some of the services include accommodations, RV Park, spa centre, fitness centre, information centre, restaurants, washrooms, golf course, ski hill and retail stores. 

Some of the activities enjoyed, in and near, Fairmont during the summer months include golfing, mountain biking, hiking, fishing, river kayaking, canoeing, horseback riding, rafting, backpacking, rock climbing, mountaineering and wilderness camping. Located just south of Fairmont is the Columbia Lake Provincial Park

During the winter months, people enjoy downhill skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling and snowshoeing when visiting the resort and the surrounding snow covered wilderness.
