Some of the outdoor activities enjoyed at the park include fishing, hiking, birdwatching and picnicking. Much of the activities centre around a small lake with a pier in the middle of the park. The lake pond is stocked with trout seasonally for fishing. But the fishing is for children and seniors only.

Along the shores of the pond is a short dirt walking and biking trail providing views of the lake. The gravel hiking route is part of the TCT (Trans Canada Trail). Along the dirt path are a series of viewing benches overlooking the pond.

Up above the lake, on a ridge, is a small park with a paved walking path, picnic tables, fire pits, washrooms and a children's playground. The park is best accessed from the main parking lot via a wooden footbridge.

Within the trees of the park is an adventure fitness circuit. The circuit is set up with fitness stations with instructions to various exercises to perform.

During the winter months after the lake is frozen over it transforms itself into an outdoor skating rink.

Just north of the park are the hiking and mountain biking trails of the Cranbrook Community Forest.
