tiquette when attending a powwow and it's importance. If you ever get the priveledge to attend a pow-wow, please do not refer to the dancers' regalia as costumes, and never touch a dancer's regalia beacause they have religious or symbolic meanings and are family heirlooms that may have been passed down generations. Always ask dancer's permission before taking a picture. Never pick up a lost or dropped feather, or point with fingers is poor manners, nod using your head in the direction of interest. Stay on the perimeter of the arena, never cross the arena floor.
