Spiders are essential pollinators here in the Nicola Valley BC. These amazing predators can maneuver through thick vegetation depositing pollen grains were bees or butterflies can not reach. Merritt BC hosts a wide variety of Arachnids. Spiders love to feast on nasty insects that will prohibit the process of decomposition. Bravo to all spiders for their role in creating rich gardening soil. Spiders are needed to produce tasty veggies and colorful flower gardens. Maybe this is why when you visit the Merritt BC Farmers Market the selection of garden grown veggies are fantastic.
